The Central Plateau accounts for around a third of the surface area of Switzerland and primarily consists of the Molasse basin. The Seismic Atlas of the Swiss Molasse Basin represents the deep subsurface structure of the Central Plateau in 24 images. The atlas shows an interpretation of regional seismic reflection data in connection with borehole data, surface geology and the derived regional 3D model.
